These
examples are designed for Sharp Communication Paging
subscribers. If you are utilizing InfoRad paging software,
please contact your local pager carrier for the information that
applies to you and their system.

STEP 1: Setting Up Your Modem (TAPI Communications Setup)
|
Select
Communications
from the Setup menu. The Modem
Selection dialog is displayed
- The
Modem Selection dialog lists all available modems
on the current system. Click on the drop-down box to select
the modem you wish to use.
- If you
wish to modify the modem's configuration, click on the
Advanced
button to bring up the advanced properties dialog.

Baud Rate: You must set the baud rate at 9600 or
lower, depending on your modem.
- When
you are finished with the modem selection and configuration,
click on OK to finish the communications set up process.

Note:
InfoRad uses your Windows settings to determine what modems
are available and how to dial phone numbers. To add or
modify a modem or change the dialing properties in Windows,
select Settings from the Start Menu,
then select Control Panel, then select the
Telephony
or Modems icon, depending on your version
of Windows. To set your dialing properties, select the
"Dialing Properties" button from the Modems
control panel.

Messaging Service Name
This is where you insert the paging service provider. Enter
"sharpcom" without the " in the text box as shown below
